would being the captain of the varsity tennis team or being a member of the varsity crew team be better? i really like both sports, and can't decide which one to do.

it depends on how good you are at crew. Crew guys can get into ivy leagues much easier. For example, the two captains of my crew team are going to Princeton, one had a 1490 the other had a 1250. The one with the 1250 has the best 6k in the country.
What's you 2k? If its good, I'd say crew but im biased.
Why not juggle both?

crew is more of a commitment, more intense and physically demanding. if you play up rowing in your application or something it may help, especially if you're good at it. train a lot, get better if you aren't doing too well. i'm definitely biased for crew though.
