I'm a junior from a small, private school in Memphis and I was wondering what my chances are in the Ivys and stanford and MIT... (and what are good safety schools?)

research internship, work at math and reading center, int'l club founder and president - (sponsoring a school in India), newspaper editor, student council sec., knowledge bowl, tennis #1 and capt. (been playing since i was 8), write for online newspaper, national history fair for 2 years (made a documentary on child labor), piano

(basic honors societies - cum laude, NHS, Nat'l French Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Who's Who etc.)

You look like a pretty strong applicant who stands out with those unusual EC's. However, ivy admissions aren't very predictable. I'd say you have a pretty good chance. I hope you get in.
