Hi, i'm an Asian male who displays a high level of interest in art, especially film. I currently take advanced cinematography (will be taking soon) and i will be entering film contests in the spring. Given my race stereotype of "math/science and the conventional EC's", can this help me greatly if i demonstrate a fervent dedication to it?

if u wanted to major in african-american studies or something like that it would be a better hook. I think that it's decent, but not amazing.
