ok sorry about that. i do not think that cc rules. actually i want to ask you guys and girls a question. heres my situation.
i have a friend who seems to stress over everything (appearance, car, music, clothes) except his education. i've tried to tell him to make the most of his college years, yet he still insists on going to cc. hes said "why should i go to a big school when i can start off at a small school?". i guess he doesnt know the college world and i guess he thinks cc is the same as a good liberal arts/state school.
ive tried to convince him using an analogy of a car purchase. cc is like a hyundai and LIB/STATE is like a um.......honda or nissan, something better. both cars will get you from point A to point B, but mostly everyone will want the honda/nissan. i told him the same about college. cc will be ok, but it wont provide the best college experience. so instead he shouldnt settle for less and he should go somewhere else.
what other valid ways could i try to explain to him why he shouldnt go to cc?
oh hes low income...but fafsa will cover him (his brother always pockets about $2,000 from financial aid every semester at his cc) so a good argument isnt the cost

hey hyundai rules.. its safe, cute, well-made, and affordable.. just because its cheaper than other brands, doesnt mean its lower-class.. know something about cars before dissing hyundai..
yes, i may be biased because i am korea..

I'm not korean and I think hyundai rules. They're cheap and have insane warranty. 10 YEARS!!! That means while all you Honda people are spending money in the garage I will be happily driving. Also, the new Tiburon GT runs 17k and packs 181hp and 0-60 in 7.6 sec not to shabby for a "hyundai" as you say it.

all right fine then use kia instead of hyundai. anywayz hyundais suck.

Korean cars suck, they're worse than Americans. They may have a good warranty but that itself is not enough to make the car good. I'd take the crappiest Japanese car over the best Korean car anyday.

To Help me:
Maybe your car analogy didn't help, but here's something that may help:
- Try to alleviate your friend of finances, because if he's not applying because of money, he's already digging an early grave. Since he has low income, then he'll will get so much aid.
- Tell him, if he has the intelligence, then he will be wasting his time @ CC.
- Also CC's are only two years where will he go for the next two years, no CC offer junior standing courses.
- Try to figure what he really wants to do, because if really wants go to CC then should be a legitimate reason why...
Finally, get his stats and deduce from his stats what he should, if they are pretty good then strongly encourage him to take the other route. Since he's at the fork of the road, he has to figure out and weigh all pros and cons.
Best of luck

"dxiw" hyundais suck. thats why they're cheap and thats why the have that 10 yr warranty. the makers know that the engines will fail many many times. hondas last way longer and are way more efficient. my friend has an accord with over 300,000 miles! tiburons suck. they have a V6 with ONLY 181hp. the preludes have a 4 CYL with 195hp. i guess hyundai doesnt know much about power or roominess, have you ever sat in the back of a hyundai? old ford escorts have more room than those crappy cars.

yeah hyundais have always dominated the market......arent they for teenagers starting off on their own....just like their commercial says: can you pay 158 down, can you pay 158 a month?
what a load of crap, those cars arent worth , they devaluate so fast by the time you want to sell them you'll only get 1% back for what you bought it
