I was wondering what did some of you guys do to improve your World History SAT II scores to the 700's I scored in the low 500's on practice test, and have only taken World Civ for under a semester.

You should wait until you're done with the full year of World Civ to take the test. I suggest you read your history text.

I just read the Barron's test prep the day before the test--never took a World Hist class--and scored 780. If you have a good general knowledge of history, read newspapers and books, you should be fine.

I got 800's on both the World and US History SAT II's and 5's on both AP US and AP Euro. Some people have a knack for history, others don't.

I have a knack for history, I'm actually majoring in it. It just most of the stuff of the test, we've never went over.

I took the world history SAT II last year and got a 740, I'd say it really helps if you took the AP world history course.

We don't have AP classes at my school..we don't really have honors courses.

AP and SATII history tests are beautiful because with minimal information you can score well if you write well and can think logically. Using process of elimination, you can score very well.

Thanks you pompous ass. No one gives a what scores you got. The original poster just wanted to know how he could do better on the test. Wow.

For real. If you don't have something constructive to say, and just feel like being a bragging whore, then why don't you brag about how many times per day you whack off? I'm sure everyone will be intrigued.
| By jerkoff on Sunday, January 05, 2003 - 05:04 pm: Edit |
I whack off ten times a day, on average. Some people have a knack for whacking off, others don't.

You guys are all complete fools! No one who wants to major in History would get such a low score on the SAT II test. To do well on the test requires a cursory knowledge of the subject- something you would hope a history major would have! Test preparation books do not help. If you want to do well on the test I recommend you start reading a lot of material. Start with books on ancient civilization until you get to the Rennaissance. Then read Palmer's A HISTORY OF THE MODERN WORLD.

I got a 5 on my AP US History exam and 770 SAT II for US History. I took them both within like to weeks of each other, so i studied like a mothaf##ka and knew all the s##t. I think i have a good apititude for that kind a S##T.Also, my AP teacher is also a college professor, so he taught the AP class like a college class(a lot of reading)

It is really fun.
I get better test scores and grades when i flog the dolphin while studying.
Helps me remember things more.

The Barrons book sucks big time. There is SO MUCH in that book that isn't on the test and never was. The book is more or less a textbook that tries to teach you the course. PR is good but a little too brief.

Hey! I want some insights!!! I'm taking the AP World History exam next monday and the SAT II in June. I didn't really learn anything in class, so I started planning out and reading the Barron's Guide in April. I wasn't worried anymore UNTIL I took the the practice model examination multiple choice in the Barron's guide yesterday! I got 40 out of 70. I took the second one and got a 38 out of 70. It's sooo hard! I seriously think I'm gonna fail. I won't worry if someone like you guys who already took it would just give me insights such as "the model tests in the barron's guide is way harder than the test for real" PLEASE! and please be honest!!!
