OK, I applied to Duke (deferred ED), Georgetown, U. of Michigan, U. of Chicago, NYU, Penn State, Maryland- College Park. Where do you think i will get in and be rejected (please use percentages if you can)
SAT- 1310 (580 verbal, 730 math)
SAT II- not taken
ACT- 27
GPA- 3.6 unweighted, 4.0 (weighted)
Rank- 24 out of 376
Shedule- extremely hard 4 AP classes this year, 3AP classes last year, 1 AP class sophmore year with a ton of Honors classes scattered throughout
Extracurriculars- varsity tennis, indoor track, cross country (all three sports played every year of high school), vice-president of national honor society, SGA representative, lots of community service, work 20 hours a week at Outback Steakhouse since freshman year, jazz band (first 3 years)
Awards- National Achievement Scholarship program for black americans, Tennis division champ, Track division champ, lots of letters for academics and sports, lots of regular academic awards for gpa and stuff
Essay- written about how i have changed throughout high school (with an emphasis on community service)
Race- black and mexican (50/50)

I thought you needed SAT IIs for Georgetown. Perhaps they were just strongly recommended, I guess.

If you are minority, you have really good chance at schools like Northwestern or CMU.
Penn States: In
U Maryland: In
U Chicago: Contact the coach if you are planning to play sports and if you are good enough. Nobody knows about U Chicago.
U Michigan: In if you applied there before November. If you applied there after that, well, probably 50/50.
Duke: Unless you do something, you'll get rejected since you are deferred in their early decision.
Georgetown: What major? Walsh School of International Studies? If not, you have a good chance.

as far as i know chicago has no sports...i guess it's cuz of the potential rioting.
i think you'll get in to Georgetown, U. of Michigan, U. of Chicago, NYU
penn state and umcp are pretty much safetys.

hey does being black help at all at JHU or northwestern?

I believe that being a URM helps a lot for Northwestern especially. My friend got in to Northwestern last year with a 1080 on his SAT's, and he's latino.
