My chances at these schools? Esp ND!
http://pr.damnsw.net/display.php?user=Highlifejigga

-1340 SAT 730M 610V

-3.8 WGPA Top 15%

-I feel my essay is extremely well written and made it so it will appeal to a Catholic Conservative University and picked perfect teacher to write my reccomendations.

-Extras appeal to colleges esp. Notre Dame: Community Service (Habitat for Humanity, Rec B-Ball Coach, etc), Church orgs.(Altar server, Confirmation Sponosor, Youth Group), School Clubs, V Football (Captain, "Comeback Player", Academic-All Conference HOF, 3 VL), V Golf (Individual and Team County Champion, 1st and 2nd team All-County, State Tournament Finishes, Golfer of the Week), Holding Job, Summer College Courses and Camps.

-Double legacy at Notre Dame.

I'd say you're in at most of those schools. I'd try and take the SATs one more time to raise your verbal score. Why didn't you apply EA to Notre Dame?

By Ndfan (Ndfan) on Sunday, December 21, 2003 - 12:47 pm: Edit

I had to take SATS again so I couldnt apply early. ND is conservative EA as well and it doesnt give you the advantage EA at other schools does. Its too late to take SATs again, plus Ive taken it 4 times already.

What sucked is on my first testing day I got all the analogies correct and 85% of the critical reading but only 55% of analogies. On the next test I got all the anologies correct but didnt do as well on SC and CR.

Ndfan, I'd say you have a good chance at all the schools. Notre Dame is a little more difficult to gte in than the others, but you have double legacy, so it shouldn't be of any concern for you. I see you are applying to Villanova...I actually got in early action with them on Friday...so we can talk and stuff if you decide on going there. But again, you shouldnt have a problem, you look like you are an all round good student, and thats what all of those schools want. Good luck and keep in touch

ndfan...yeah Villanova was up there. I mean, i had a 3.8 and a lot of people have told me that I could have gone to a better school (don't get me wrong, Villanova is an awesome school, academically), but when I walked on campus, I felt really comfortable, and thats what I thought was most important. So nova is my first choice. The only school I'd go to over Villanova is the Naval Academy, who I should be hearing from sometime in April. Anyway, good luck with those schools! You'll get into wherever you want.
