Hi guys, I'd really appreciate it if you could rate my chances at the following schools with these stats. I've already completed my applications to them, but I just want to see if what I'm hoping for is realistic.
In order of preference:
Northwestern
Cornell
Columbia
Stanford
UPenn
Berkeley
UCLA
UC Santa Barbara
(out of state)
Asian-Canadian Female
SATI 790M, 750V (1540)
SATII 720Wr, 800IIC, 790French w/ List
GPA 4.0 UW
Ranked unofficially 6/423, school doesn't officially rank though
EC's are not too many sadly
Co-Editor of school paper
Piano for 11 yrs
Treasurer of Ontario Students Against Impairing at my school
Concert Band, Jazz Band (1st Alto Sax)
Volunteering at local hospital (100 hours)
Ski Club
Employment
Webdesign, teaching piano
Awards
Media Studies Subject Award
Communications Subject Award
French Subject Award (Gr 10 & 11)
Various gold and silver medals in regional piano competitions
Solid recs, creative essays, but nothing spectacular.
Applying to (depending on whether the schools have it) Journalism, Communications, Pyschology, or English.
Do I have a shot or will I be stuck in Canada?

you definitely have as much a shot as anyone else--problem is that the top schools have so many people who are just as qualified as you are that they have to accept and reject people for literally no good reason (it will be something ridiculous like if you are up against someone from a demographic they need more of, and you guys have equal qualifications, they'll take the other guy). a close friend of mine got into harvard #2, brown #7, and duke#5 (3 of the top 10 schools in the US) and was rejected from columbia#6, penn#10, and yale#4 (also 3 of the top 10 schools). go figure!
