Yeah I left out Virginia. Oops. I was just trying to get all of the best publics ranked. I really think that UCLA is better than Mich. It is in US News, and Princeton Review gives UCLA a higher academic ranking than Michigan

McGill and U of Toronto if you count our northern neighbor.

I seriously didn't think i would hear anything that stupid past middle school. But your immaturity and utter stupidity lives up to your screen name. "here's a quarter. now go get a life"- what a dirtbag

People talk bad about texas...but think about it: its still one of the best schools in the country even though the population is 49,000 and next year will probably be 50,000. not bad for the largest school in the US.
A&M has 45,000 and where do you see A&M on the rankings? Ohio State is the 2nd largest school and where do you see them? good job for texas!
By umm on Sunday, January 05, 2003 - 03:04 am: Edit
Berkeley, UCSD (48,000 applied last year), UCLA, Michigan, UT Austin
By what! on Tuesday, January 07, 2003 - 12:58 am: Edit
# of applicants don't mean shiii. What if the number of applicants are larger for a community college than say... harvey mudd? Number of applicants mean jack dude. And damn, Its UCB, UCLA then the rest... wtf... why is UCLA falling to the bottom???
By me on Tuesday, January 07, 2003 - 01:15 am: Edit
haha I don't think anybody would rank UCSD over Michigan and UCLA. you need to take a deep breath and shut the up
By anonymous on Thursday, January 09, 2003 - 09:00 pm: Edit

#1 UC Berkeley
#2-#20
By sid mathur on Thursday, January 09, 2003 - 11:10 pm: Edit
the #1 public school is University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. If u want the top 100 go to http://www.kiplinger.com/php/college/2002/pubcollege.php3
By My grandmother on Friday, January 10, 2003 - 12:16 am: Edit
hahah that ranking system is so wack. SUNY Binghamton, Florida, Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and New College of South Florida are all ranked ABOVE UCLA!!!! PLEASE! And UNC is a great school, but it shouldn't be above Berkeley and neither should Virginia. US News has got it right.
By okay on Tuesday, February 04, 2003 - 02:29 pm: Edit
I think Texas has the best overall sports program of the give. But in terms of academics, it really depends on what you want to go for...a school like UT and MI might be better than others for something like business or other disciplines.
By Mindy Lacrosse on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 - 01:38 pm: Edit
It depends on your major. If you want to learn how to use a movie camera, go to UCLA. If you want to be an engineer, go to UCSD. If you want to wear cowboy boots and lasso, go to Texas. If you want to be a dirty hippie, go to Berkeley.
