boston college is my first choice school...i applied regular decision. here are my stats:
GPA (3.55 weighted...the one stat that drags me down)
SAT 1: combined 1420 (700 M, 720 V)
SAT 2:
U.S. History: 780
Math 1C: 670
Writing: 720
I will have taken 4 AP's total in High School, not to mention getting an A in a summer school college economics class @ Uconn
2 outstanding teacher recs.
a decent essay
white male (my counselor said being a boy means i have a better chance, but I've got no idea)
E.C.'s
employment as stockboy (gr. 11,12)
volunteer at local elementary school homework center(gr. 10,11,12)
school newspaper (gr. 9-12, drew pictures 12)
math tutor (gr.12)
freshman basketball team (gr. 9)
town basketball league (gr. 10-12)
member of church youth group (gr. 10-12)
Awards:

Lastly, I am on pace to get straight A's this semester, which would boost my GPA over a 3.6....hopefully that will help me some

i just got into BC with a 1420 and slightly lower SAT IIs. so i'd say your chances are very good! BUT there was a girl in my school with a 1490, probably very high SAT IIs (not sure though!), and top 2% in class... and she was deferred. I don't get it. But eh.
Why didn't you apply EA if BC was your first choice?

How did you get your BC decision so quickly? Can I look online?

my guidance counselor reccomended that I put together a good semester of school, and that it would greatly improve my chances....although I angish waiting for a few more months, I feel as if my chances are better if I do really well this semester
confetti, what was your gpa?
and which is more selective, early action or regular decision?

northwestern-- i don't think it's posted online. i live in NJ. good luck!
lebronathon-- oo, i see. they don't give out our unweighted gpa... weighted it was 4.53, but probably uw was 3.6-ish... rank: 30/689... and the ea acceptance percentage rate is in the forties, while rd's is in the 30s. im fairly sure. good luck!
