Hi! you have some great standardized scores and loads of extracurrics...i'm guessing that miami will be a safety - i'm applying there also (i live in ohio) and am pretty familiar with it - you could definitely get into the honors program! Also applying to BC, if they don't take you then they definitely won't take me!

Yeah, definitely in the Honors program at Miami...EVERYONE from my high school (except me!!!) goes there, and even some of the people in the honors program have not so stellar stats - - so given yours you seem like a shoo-in. Especially if you can get the SAT up in the high 1300's or low 1400's...

Do you guys know anything about the skating program at Miami? Also, is the campus nice? What is the atmosphere like?

Anyone else, on any other schools?

UF will jump at the chance to admit you. They offer $5500 a year on top of bright futures to national merit scholars. No school you list is out of your reach but Duke is a bit of a longshot

What sorts of figure skating awards have you won and what level are you out of curiosity?

Are you a figure skater too?
I've gotten "Best Axel" and "Most Improved Skater" at my rink
2003 Preliminary Girls Gold Medallist
I will be competing in FS 6 and probably Open Juv next season.

I used to be, not seriously though. I took private lessons for two years and I got up to Free Style 6 (I think..it is kind of hard to remember...I could never do an axel or single lutz) I am a figure skating enthusiast though and I know a lot about it, like, I wish I could major in Figure Skating trivia. Anyway, I skated at the rink next to UVA (five minutes away), which is not Olympic sized, but there were Juvenile skaters training there when I was there.

That's cool!! I've been skating for about 6 years and I'm working on double axel and all my double combinations... should be starting triple sal soon :-) Too bad UF doesn't have a skating rink, otherwise I'd go there (full ride plus some)... How big is the rink by UVA?
