No dorkus! Heard from friends at Pomona, that they wish they had gone there. Most of these kids at Pomona take all their Econ courses at McKenna since most of the job recruiters go like those students. Great social scene and hot girls.

It's in the middle of nowhere, though. Claremont is about 2 hours from LA, and it has absolutely nothing to do in it. The campus is beautiful, but no one has heard of the place. It might be nice when you're there, but for the rest of your life everyone is going to say to you "Claremont McKenna? Where's that?" It does have very strong programs in government, econ, history, etc.

wow, let's go to a school nobody has heard of. especially one that is super hard to get into. wow, let's reject schools that have name recognition just so we can say we're going to a school nobody knows about. genius!

Ummm... Claremont is not two hours from LA. It's about 30 mins. It's just as well known as any other town in southern cali--and claremont mckenna has great name recognition, if not quite up there with pomona, at least you can take classes there.
