I'd be surprised definitely for UCLA, and maybe for UCSD. But not for UCI and UCSB, though I still think he/she has no better than a 50/50 shot at those two.

Anyways, for UCI, the average stats for an acceptee are:

3.7, 1180 SAT, and id GUESS that the SAT II's would be around 600.

Hes got a decent shot at UCI and UCSB, but unless hes got a hook and amazing essays, UCLA and UCSD are most likely out of the question
