Am I being foolish to think I could get in to either of these schools?

32 ACT (35 English, 32 Math, 34 Reading, 26 Science [ran out of time; got a 34 on this section the first time I took the test])
760 SAT II Writing
3.5 GPA (unweighted)
Class rank: 22/265
AP Scholar With Honor (English Comp 4, Euro 4, US Gov 4)
Current schedule (AP English Lit, AP World History, AP Physics C, AP Bio, Spanish 5, Dance)
4 year member of student council (2 years in elected offices)
4 year member of class government (2 years in an elected office)
Philosophy Club
NHS
National Spanish Honor Society
State Scholar
Member of a ballet company
Work as a ballet teacher

You have great stats... and the ballet thing will give you a great advantage (falls into the "special talents" and "EC passion" categories). Besides, I'm not too sure how many ballet dancers, who are part of a company and teach apply to these schools. I think you'll stand out.

I'm almost certain WUSTL combines subscores for the ACT. That's what my friends tell me anyway. If this were the case--and if my math is right--you'd have a 34 according to WUSTL. Hurray!

No, you're not foolish to think that. The truth is, you have great stats, but there's no way any of us can know for sure whether you have a "chance."
