I have a little problem. I am a high school junior and on the 5 tests that I took out of the ten real Sat's, I have consistantly scored anywhere from 1530 to 1570. I also bought Gruber's Sat, (I have already memorized the 3,400 word list and have finished the strategy section), and upon taking two practice tests have scored only a 1450 and a 1440! What do you think I should do... I heard that the grubers book is very good, however the verbal sections appear to be completely nonrepresentative of the test format...
I need some advice,
Thanks

I wouldn't put too much faith in any one book's SAT. You sound like you have prepared well for the exam. Just take the test and see what happens.

i have the same problem with gruber's book. i think the questions are significantly harder in that book in comparison with the real SAT's. I wouldn't worry much if I were you

Infact, using this book will have an adverse effect on your verbal abilities. I scored a 790 verbal by using only real tests. Don't limit yourself to the 10 real SAT's. I asked around for many months and was able to gather an illegal collection of 25 real tests-- that is every released may, oct and jan tests since 1995. I'm very proud of my collection. I really don't know what to do with my collection. I was thinking about posting them on the internet, but I decided against it since that would be grossly illegal !

You could be 10 real SATs book. Those are usually the best representations and have the least wrong answers.

Hey, I practiced with the Real SAT book and scored consistently around 1400. Then I took the test and got 1460. I don't know if that helps you at all, but I really think that the RealSAT was very accurate in trying to emulate the actual SAT test.
