Have a bunch of community services activities through music. Study at Manhattan School of Music, Concertmaster of school orchestra, volunteered at local hospital around 150 hours, currently an intern at Asperger Related Services (60 hours), and participated in my senior high youth group's mission trip to lepan, mexico (10th and 11th grade). Eh..what else, sending in a CD of my playing (it's decent).
So, what are my chances at UMich, NYU, BC, and Rutgers?
Intended major is psychology.
Thanks for any input.

I wouldn't say you're definitely in at NYU nor UMich, your stats are not all that impressive for out-of-staters at Mich and for NYU, your stats are the same as the common applicant's.

you stats are great. I mean you are in the 1300+ so you have high scores for any of the scholls above. You stats are way higher than the U Mich normal applicants. don't let any of these people dicourage you. the only thing i would work on is that physics sat score.

np, i just hate it when people on this board discourage others. Others whom i might say have a great chance of getting into selective schools.

"i just hate it when people on this board discourage others"
Then do u think it's right to lie instead of telling them the truth?? Being honest is better than lying to people just to encourage them

"I mean you are in the 1300+ so you have high scores for any of the scholls above."
Not for Michigan out-of-state students. Your scores are higher than the school's average, but that average is composed mainly of in-state students. Michigan is a hard bet, as is NYU. The others shouldnt be much of a problem.

here try this website. http://www.michiganreview.com/admissions2.php
That was a calculator used a while ago to determinied if you were going to be accepted to michigan or not.
And Vulcano, yes out of state students have more competetion, but if you are appling from an underrepresented state then you also have a higher chance.
And as for hertish, where did you get the idea that lieing is better than stating the truth from my post. All i said was that i hate when people discourage others who have a good to great chance of getting in. In trying to argue with me you somehow forgot the second half of my post. Please do not be so elementary.

oh yea, for the calculator above. If you made a 100 or above, then you were admitted.
