lets say you have a few C's, mostly in first semester grades, that were eventually pulled up to A's 2nd semester. Will that be worse than having straight B's for the year in those classes? Because you could have the same GPA with different grades. Just wondering.

I really don't think it matters. If you're GPA is the same, they could care less. Anyway, the fact that you got A's the rest of the year may be better than getting straight B's because it shows what you are capable of.
