Iam going to apply to a couple of univs.,but i dont know what to write in my SOP (i.e. the format etc.) and how to get a good recon. from my teacher and its format.please advise

i am also in a dilemma about the words i should use and the kind of language(tense etc.)

try to use present tense with action verbs if possible.
