Is it really true that it's better to have a recommendation from a humanities teacher and a math/science teacher rather than say, two humanities (in my case, history and latin)?
thanks.

I would say it depends on your major.
If you're doing an English major, get it from history/english/latin, whatever. If you're doing a science major, it makes more sense to get it from your math and science teacher instead of your english/history teacher.

It all depends on what you plan to major in. Some schools also require you to get recommendations from certain teachers like MIT.

i'm planning to major in psychology..since it's a social science (in my opinion, a subject category of its own kind), i'm really not sure what kinds of subjects are more appropriate for recommendations. anybody have advice?
