Hey, I jsut wanted to know my chances for UW I kno my scores aren't great but can I influence them with a strong personal statement?
I am on an H-4 VISA (UW is a college that considers me international) but I ahve been living in the US for over 3 years
I PLAN TO MAJOR IN FINANCE
SAT 1: 1210 M 620 V580
ACT: I took the ACT this october and I think I did much better on it than the SAT
GPA: 3.5 but bound to go up after first semester of senior year
3 years of Varisity Badminton
10th : Rep Assembly Secretary
11th: Technical COmmissioner
Member of clubs like AMnesty, Read cross...

Not so sure. But you'll probably get in.
But UW? The Seattle school? I live in UW, and since I'm applying there, I know that your recs won't really matter. Out-of-state admissions is tougher than in-state obviously, but I think you can get in.

yeah the seattle one I have family there.. so hopefully If I do get in i will be staying at my relatives place becasue its too damn expensive -_- to pay out of state and room/board

Well I know that your stats for an in-state applicant would get you accepted no problem. The UW is not too harsh on out of staters (at least, not as harsh as UCs). I think you have a great shot
