I'm apply regular action to Northwestern and RPI. Here are my stats:
SAT I: 1370 (570verbal+800Math)(new Dec score)
SAT II: 800Math IIC, 800Physics, 760Chemistry, 600Writing, 800Chinese
GPA: 4.0/4.3unweighted, class rank 4/193
TOEFL 287/300
I'm a recent immigrant who came here last december, so my verbal/writing are low.

EC's: Math league (team placed 1st), NHS, peer tutor, was on something called class committee as an officer. Others are insignificant...

Honors and awards: math league certificate, won statewide math contest, state ARML team member, AIME qualifier (score=4)

Haven't taken AP exams yet because I'm a new comer. Planning to take Calc BC, Physics B or C, Biology and probably Chem.

With the TOEFL perhaps making up for 570 verbal, and an 800 math, maybe you should try places above Northwestern and RPI. It can't hurt to apply to MIT, any Ivies you'd like, etc...

im a genius... 1520 SAT, 800 Writing, 750 Math IIc, 730 Physics. Princeton deferred me. Thats sick. Cant a normal nerd get into college?

I don't expect TOEFL to make up for my verbal score, but I think it is at least a supplement to demonstrate my English ability.
