I am in love with GW and desperatly want to get in. Can someone please tell me if i would be somewhat qualified?

Tutor inner city kids for four years
Other community service

Conducted research for State's Attorney’s reelection campaign
Office aid for immigration lawyer
Head of research team for candidate running for City Council President

Able to speak and read fluently in Russian
Studied upper level spanish

I think you are plenty qualified for GW.

Your unw GPA is moderate, but your SAT I and II's are pretty solid for this school.

Your linguistic abilities probably won't have much affect in admissions, but your EC's will, and they are quite impressive. A plethora of leadership abilities, as well as community service for a pragmatic cause (not like volunteering at a library or anything) make your application stand out even more. Well, good luck!

I think you're a match for GWU. Don't give up hope or let your fears convince you not to give GWU a shot. You might feel better once you have decided on some safety schools. BEST OF LUCK!
