My first 3 years of high schoold did not offer AP's or Honors, I have a GPA of 3.85 unweighted(3.97 in my Junior year), in which I can't have it weighted since there I did not have the option of taking APs and Honors; but now that I am in a new school, I am taking 2 APs(Possibly 3), and two honors(3 honors if I take 2 APs).
SAT Math:720, Verbal won't count against me(I am a foreigner). I am expecting to get a GPA of 4.2-4.4 for the semester(which is good for an AP beginner). My parents also graduate from Stanford for their graduate, my dad went to MIT.

No AP's or honors as they are not offered at my school

Deemed 'gifted', attend 'gifted school'

Four languages (Language of instruction from grades 7-9: French, 3rd language)

solid essay, solid recs (not super excellent though)

Various academic awards and awards for piano

Applying for school of journalism...think i stand a chance?

hey jen, i'm not too sure about northwestern's spread of scores and what-not, but i believe you'll make gd competition for the others who are applying too. especially since you're the co-editor of your school newspaper.

im applyin to NW too, but to the college of arts and sciences. i plan to major in economics yadda yadda yadda.
