OK so this is a problem.......
on prince review.com it says that Berkley and UCLA and Brown and whatever have average SAT scores around mid to high 1300s.
Whyyyy is this? Is it because of those jock people who have really bad SATS but good sports talents and wut-not? Cuz i think u need at least a little over a 1400 to really be considered.....

The highest median SAT of ANY school is only 1400, for Caltech, then MIT at 1375. Its because of all the hooks: legacies and minorities especially.

UCLA and Berkley are different because of their public status. Only 6 percent are from out of state and I'm sure their median SAT is well over 14 if not approaching 15. In state however they admitt a relatively large percent (about 30% i believe) for a school of its caliber. I'm sure there are many in-staters with hooks and 1200 SATS, just don't expect that too work out of state.

That's completely untrue. Here are some medians/averages according to Princeton Review:
Cal Tech 1510
Harvard 1495
Columbia 1394
MIT 1469
Pomona 1450

I don't feel like typing anymore but there are TONS of schools with median SAT's of 1350+ and 1400+

To my knowledge though, Cal Tech is the only one with over a 1500 average. Not sure if there are any others.

Hmm, my source was rather old(1991), but I wouldn't have expected THAT big of a change... 100+ points in 10 years?

They readjusted SAT scores in 1995.

UCLA accepted a little less than 25 percent last year, approx 10,000 out of 46,000 applicants.

Even USC's median is 1370...
