Be careful about looking like a "joiner." I think, of course, that you have a very good chance, especially at Cornell. But just put the important ECs on the app/resume and leave the little stuff out.

Yeah, I don't put all the smaller ECs on applications

ive got a question 4 u, do u think that rockester humanities and social sciences award is worth anything at schools other than rochester? i got one of those awards, but i dont really want to go to U rochester (its a safety), should i put it on a application to a school other than rochester?

I put it on my applications because I figure that it 1. Cannot hurt me 2. Shows that some school recognized your work 3. Not every school gives out awards so you can't have won an award to every school you are applying to. More or less, use it if you don't have anything else to fill the space up with but if you have better awards then list them instead.

Hey Cliff, funny running into you here. What do you think? Also, where are you applying? Do I have some fierce competition from MP this year? Anyone there cure cancer yet?

Not bad man, that's a beautiful rank you have. Let the essays and recs carry you.
You will have no competition here from MP for Cornell. Not many strong people are applying to Harvard. Yale-- my early choice-- seems to be the hot school this year. Grr. Most of the normal rich kids are trying for Princeton. You know they won't get in.
I'm applying to Yale, UNC, Duke, UVa, Princeton, Columbia, Harvard, Amherst, Pomona, Swarthmore, and Rochester.
Cancer cure? Bahahaha. A lot of kids here are part of this supposedly huge "cancer awareness" initative, so close enough.
