Ok...I'm nervous. Both Yale and Stanford announced their new policies about ED (that supposedly won't go into effect till a couple years)...apparently yale is barely accepting anyone ED. Will Stanford be that way too ED-wise????

What is your source on "Yale is barely accepting anyone ED? If you're looking at defers and rejects on this board it is because most are snobby rich white folk who have good grades/scores but no practicle experience.
I think the ED rate might be down a bit, but it declines each year, so nothing abnormal. Check Yale.edu for a press release stating how many ED applicants they accepted.

At my school ED for elite schools, especially the ivies is way down this year. It may be because of some new poliices at my school (we now have +'s and -'s which we didnt have which hurts applicants to elite schools who used to have A's and now have A-'s) but I think the RD acceptances will counter the low ED rates

Also, the number of ED applicants rose 24 percent this year, according to "The Daily Pennsylvanian", whereas Stanford early apps only increased by 3%.
