Don't even apply. It's a good idea to save the admissions officers the time that they would waste looking at your application, which is nothing at all to be proud of. I would be ashamed.

I don't get what your problem is, Paul. OP ignore him.

Seeker, I'll let you know what my problem is: posters like this one who are utterly dependent on the responses of others through an Internet discussion board. Not only are 'some kid''s stats appalling, but his inability to fend and make decisions for himself make him an extremely dull person, unattractive to any good college.

Don't listen to what the other posters say, you got a chance. Just put down that your black and you'll get in. Another thing, how did you upkeep your violin with your financial situation?

to "paul":
wtf is wrong w/u? granted "some kid"'s grades aren't the greatest, but giving his situation they'r pretty damn impressive. plus he has many ec's. moreover, how can u be soo sarcastic and critical of some1 who u dont even know. have some decency man. what kind of an r u? i bet ur just jelous of "some kid"'s grades and other stats. Wow, i'm gonna laugh soooooo ridiculously hard when he gets in and u don't....that'll be great
anyways, to "some kid":
i'm really impressed with how u'v handled adversity. As other ppl said, just put down ur black and u'll get in. Even w/out putting down ur black BU is a definite...duke on the other hand will be alot more challenging

i was able to continue violin lessons b/c i was fortunate enough to receive a generous teacher. She gave me lessons free of charge for over a year, and afterwards she allows us to pay whatever we can afford. Thats why when i was asked to tutor children by my school, i couldnt refuse.
