ok, well
first off, Im in Ankara, Turkey. I lived in CA 4 years,NY 4 years, 11th grade...
I go to an international school, BUPS, where we I did the IGCSE's, and now doing the IB (international baccalauraete (sp?)).
Because of the IGCSE's and IB's, compared to most other schools, the average student at my school has a GPA of 2.5-3.0
activity wise, i attended TIMUN(Turkis international Model united nations) and THIMUN (The Hague model united nations), and thats about it i guess.
i tried some old SAT's, and i got a 1250 (v-610,m-640). I have about 6 months to take the real SAT, and during that time, im gonna take verbal courses...my main goal is a total of 1400
My main goal is NYU. However, i have some questions that i would more than appreatiate it if you guys answered,
40,000 a year...i cant pay that, im just curious how much NYU actually aids their students;
NYU keeps on sayin that you need great grades and everything, like i attended a college fair in Istanbul, the NYU representative listed all these great grades that i should have to get it...but then i read posts about people with 'not'so great grades getting in and stuff...i dont know what to believe, can someone clear that up for me please?;
should i take that SAT2? what is it? why is it important? also, what is the ACT and is it easier/harder than the SAT?
+ does any one know any good colleges/universities in the NY area? hows fairly dickenson?
thanks so much
