Hi!
i am applying early decision to college at penn(legacy).

SAT I: 650 v 760 m (1410)
SAT II: Math IIC 780
Physics 730
Writing 560 (taking it again in december)

ACT<-expecting score (28-32)

Im taking A Level Courses
Math,Physics,Economics,Business Studies,General Paper.

O Level Grades: 5A's 3B's
Got an academic colour for that+Headmasters Honour List
Extra curricular:
Swimming team captain for 3 years (grades 11,12,13)
Got 4 colours (Letters as americans would call them) for swimming.
Water Polo team captain (grade 13) Got a colour for it.

Volunteer work at Cancer Hospital ( 3 hours a week for almost a year)

Started homegrown business of selling and buying used cell phones.

I managed my mother's stock portfolio.

Parlimentary style debates

Worked at Nokia for 3 months.

I think thats it...

so what are my chances ( i'm paying full by the way)

u would have damn good chance if u were american..but since ur british...it will be real hard..they dont like us non-american ppl in those top uni's

nah..i dont think i have a chance..anyway if i got in..its not like they gonna give meany aid..my parents r not gonna pay anyway..so i think i will be applying to those state universities where u can pay about 20k for a year..

if i were u fishbone..i would appply to Mcgill uni in canada..with ur stats u can get a freeride..penn is only good for business anyway..if ur planning on another major..penn is useless..

free ride= they uni pays everything for...its gonna be really difficult to get into warton..its like the best business skool there is....i doubt internatnatiol students can get in..a girl from my skool got in..she had 44/45 for the IB(pratically impossible to get) and 1580 sat, 800 writing, 780 math IIC and i think 800 on physics...anyway..u have to be the very best..the girl was on these boards..her name is something like penn...anyway..u can find her if u do a search for geneva..and email her or something...she was indain too, tats how i knew her.

im not trying for wharton though. im applying( well i have applied) to the college at penn and then im going to try to get a transfer to wharton. its easier to get into the college right?

My friend is applying ED to Upenn and it's the only school she's interested in so I hope she gets in. What do you think of her stats?
SAT: 1350 (around there...1300 something)
ACT: 30
GPA: 4.0 (weighted)
ECs: yearbook, swimming, and she's being recruited for crew.
Crew is a huge hook, I think. Plus, she's applying to the school of nursing.
