what are my chances for: UCLA, UCSD, NYU, UNC-Chapel Hill, UVA, USC, UWisc-Madison?
and how accurate are the results that you get from Princeton review's Counselor-O-Matic? I heard that the safeties are usually your safeties, good matches are 50/50, and reach is a slim chance...

Counselor-O-Matic sucks. Don't believe it. There's a whole thread of complaints about it on the Admissions board.

great.
my outlook is pessimistic enough though. i'm actually kinda more interested in USC, UVA, Madison, and NYU
i know i'll have a tough time getting into UCLA and UCSD, b/c of the whole out-of-state thing they have in california.

You'll probably get into USC, but the 1330 was below this year's average of 1341. They average will probably be higher next year. Coming from NY is an advantage. Go to USC's recruiting events when they come to New York. Sign-in. Get the card from the regional admissions officer and cultivate that person.
Since you're out-of-state for UVA,UNC,UCB,and UCLA, admission with your credentials, which would probably get you in in-state, is highly doubtful. Sorry.

i hate the whole out-of-state business. but i guess i understand...to some degree.
