Discus: What Are My Chances?: December 2002 Archive: Does Nat'l Merit Semifinalist Status Mean Anything?

I neglected to take the PSAT exams, but have scored a 1560 (800m/760v) on the SAT I and an 800 on the SAT II writing test. Will not being a Nat'l Merit Semifinalist have any adverse effect on my application package considering that my SAT scores place me at a 236 PSAT equivalent in the first place?

It won't hurt you

It won't help you

If you had a good reason for not taking psats you might send it to colleges but if not don't worry

I got into princeton and I wasn't one. I don't think that it hurts you.
