My mom went to UPenn, and her father went UPenn dental, both gave some but not much $

SAT1-740m 690v-retook in Oct, slight verbal improvement expected

SATII-Writing 800, UShistory 770, Math 11C 710

5 on US history exam
3 on bio exam

this years classes AP Calc, AP phsics, AP english, AP spanish, Engineering Lab, Sociology

ranked 8 in class of 404

pretty good essays

EC's-Class VP all 4 years
Student council All 4 years
Student council VP senior
Future problem solving all 4 years
Varsity crew grades 10,11
Varsity Track, 11
Kicker football team grade 12
NHS and Nat'l spanish honor society
Founder, engineering club
put solar panels on the school

how am I looking??

Your stats are awesome! Everything looks perfect...hopefully you'll get the verbal score up though. You'll probably get in especially because you are related to alumni. Early Decision will help a lot to. Of course Penn is Ivy League and most to all applications will be strong like yours so it will be competative. I thought about applying to Duke early, but my two top choices, Duke and Penn, were both very close in my mind--and I thought that my best chance to get into to either of these schools would be to use my legacy standing at Penn--do you think it would help enough to make the difference--would I have had a chance at Duke?
