You have a good shot.
Try MIT and Caltech if you are into mathematics or science..

He might not be kidding.
But I doubt it.

I am NOT joking…there’s enormous parental pressure on me…no sports, clubs are, as I said, Math Team and It’s Academic…and there are so many bizarre stories of National AP Scholars who are Intel Finalists that have been rejected that worry me a LOT

I wouldn’t be half as worried as I am now if I didn’t have so much riding on this – basically, if I can get in EA, then come December I can live and breathe and be a normal teenager – otherwise, it’s going be quite the opposite, and living in my little hell, be afraid to get a B because of my parents, not ever having a girlfriend because of my parents…18 years of that is enough…and I want to end it by December

well at least you're past all that, good job. i kinda wish my parents woulda encouraged me a little more, not to the point of no sports/etc though~

I hate you so much that I would follow you to Harvard just so I could punch you in the face for making me feel as dumb as a normal person. Fortunately for you, you're safe, as there's no way I'll get into Harvard, not that I'd punch you very hard because I respect your intellegence too much to give you more than a nosebleed. The bottom line is that I am jealous, and you will get into Harvard.

"You must hate your life. Seriously. "
Amen.
Dude, hit a bong or something... God, you guys have convinced me to never go to an ivy league, totally not worth it.
But you earned it... have FUN.
No seriously, have some fun.

I call bluff.
98% of posts like this are bluffs. If you've been on this board as long as I have, you know when to raise the red flag.

Sorry, dude, your post is outrageous. No way.
| By Chobo (Chobo) on Sunday, October 12, 2003 - 08:04 pm: Edit |
Your chance is as good as any. However you ARE not guranteed admission at any top schools. I personally know several who have laundry list similar to yours get rejected at some and accepted at some. Try to distinguish yourself in your application from all the other nerds out there.

And you guys need to stop bashing people who have good academic talent. I doubt people like to brag on a forum when the people do not even know them. Just because you are envious does not mean u have to hate
Those of you who say get a life. I doubt you have a much better one since ur spending your time visiting an academic forum also.
I was around many mathematical geniuses at Math Olympiad Summer Program, and most of them were really awesome people. We had fun in our spare time from playing sports to capture the flag to playing pranks.
