How hard IS USC? Is it as hard as UCLA? Berkeley? What about its notoriety and prestige? Does it have a good name? Comparable to UCLA or Cal? Thanks!
P.S. I live out of state (Seattle). It probably does not make a difference since USC is private, but maybe it will.

Because the UC are state schools, it will be much harder to get into out of state. USC is private, if you meet their standards, you shouldn't have a problem. UCLA, Cal, and USC are all great schools.

Cal has the best academic reputation of the 3, but they are all great schools. For out-of-staters, USC is by far the easiest to get in to.

They definitely are all great schools with great prestige and are well-known. USC loves out-of-state and out-of-country students, so that's a plus.
