I am currently at Fraknlin & Marshall College. I am looking to transfer to somewhere like Trinity, Hamilton, or Conn College. What are my chances? Also, does anyone know anything about these types of transfers?...are they smooth or complicated?

If you've kept up your grades at Franklin & Marshall, you shouldn't have a problem with a transfer to the schools on your list. The first thing you should do is read each school's admissions policies for transfers carefully - should be detailed on their web sites. It would also be wise to check out what their required core curriculum is like to see how your Franklin & Marshall classes will fit overall. Transferring is usually a smooth process, especially when you're not trying to go up a million notches in terms of school rank. Good luck.

B18c1cx (B18c1cx), I heard Franklin and Marshall was a great school? You don't like it there, or they didn't give you enough scholarship?

Check the transfer numbers at those schools. Some schools always seem to have openings. Others accept hardly any transfers at all. Basically, your grades at F&M will determine how viable you are as a transfer at these other schools, along with how full the freshman class was at those other schools and how many they are losing. Reason for transfer is generally the essay question.

Horseman, F&M is a good school for pre-med/pre-law students who can't get into Ivies/near Ivies. There is a lot of reading and partying at frats... they get old though. I would stay if I didn't plan on going into the I-banking and str. consulting world. I am now considering McGill or Queen's University.

Jamimom, where can I find these numbers?!?? I would love to know.
