I wan to be a vet, what should I start doing to help me get into and graduate from a good college?
I am 15 and home schooled, so I can get a lot more done and some extra (like volunteering although I have never volunteered in an animal hospital) because I am not switching classes and such and taking up valuable time.
I am on a biology course called Exploring Creation With Biology (you can look it up) and am learning about microorganisms, bacteria and classification and such. Will it help in college?
I am also taking Saxon Math (and a lot of other subjects but these are the main ones). What Colleges do you suggest?
I live in Ohio, but I don’t think I want to go to Ohio State. I would like a smaller college, but a good one. And I don’t like Dayton anyway. I like the look of North Carolina and maybe Tennessee.
What do you suggest? I don’t want to go too far from home (I mean not as far as Texas like my Mom and Dad) but an eight hour drive is fine.
What undergrad school should I go to (I don’t know of any). What other subjects should I take now to help in college?
My Dad says I should start memorizing the periodic table. What do you think? I want to know if it will be helpful in college before spending time on it.
What should I be doing now to prepare for college? How do I get into a good college? What degree should I aim for? What would make me an asset to a veterinary hospital? What skill is most sought for?
I am a girl, but strong and I know the risk, but really like would like large animal work, but is small animal work more profitable?
I want to be able to maybe have a practice of my own… And afford it.
What are the “ups and downs” of mixed (large and small) animal work?
And last but not least, What are my chances? I know vet colleges are hard to get into.
Thanks for your time, please help me if you can.
