how good are my chances for UIUC engineering, MIT, IIT, UIC.
22/619 at a good public school in illinois
took calc II at community college this past summer, i am in calc III now, and I will be doing diff eq in the spring. I am in 5 AP's, and i took physics and euro last year. chess team 11, 12. newspaper 11, 12 -- blue ribbon award for journalism in region. math team 11, 12. scholastic bowl 12. cross country 9. track 11. kung fu 9, 10.

into everywhere except MIT that is. I don't think your rank is high enough for that. Plus your ACT isn't MIT-high, and your EC's are not through and look like you did them for college.

well it depends...what high school is it? I'm from IL too, and your class rank could be explained by the high school you attend. If it's Hinsdale Central or New Trier, then your rank is fine.

I have several friends looking at the exact same thing!
In my complete non expert opinion, you're in at UIUC (really great shot at engin. school, a shoe in at any of others), UIC, and IIT. The only stretch, IMO, would be MIT... but I think you have a good chance. Echoing Asknot, your rank is great if your at one of the 'elite' public IL schools, and isn't bad at all at most others.
