i recently read an article on a 14 year old girl who is graduating from high school this spring. she has three years of college credit already under her belt from texas lutheran. She expects to apply to Rice. Apparently, shes homeschooled as well...so i dont know what the extent of her EC's are. Do you think universities like having genius kids? and do you think that given they had not-so-great EC's that a university would accept them anyway on the grounds that they are young and it may make the school look good?

They can't discriminate on age but I assume if the kid is a recognized and "registered" and tested genius, it would be a plus.
I think being young and "normal" but academically gifted would be a downside.
