Ive heard rumors of extreme scrutiny in applicants to ucla and berkely. I have decided to delay AP spanish for a year. I am currently a junior and instead of going from Spanish 3 to Spanish 4 this year I have decided to wait till senior year. I am taking AP psychology instead. Does this break mean anything?

uh.. UCLA and UCB aren't the most cutthroat schools for Californians.
They care about you being in the top 5-10% of your class and you taking lots of APs and you living in California and having decent to good test scores, especially SAT II's.. that's about it.
I don't think they would mind, why not just take AP psych after spanish 4?
