My name is Ken and i'm a Kenyan . I need the u guys to evaluate my chances at the following schools.
REACH:MIT,Caltech,Yale, Harvard,Princeton,Stanfd.
MATCH:Colby,Bates ,Middlebury,
SAFETY:Elmhurst

SCORES:
SAT1: Math 720
Verbal 700
SAT II: Math 1c 640
Physics 660
Writing 620
*Planning to take math2c chem Bio in October for 700+ in all of them.
*Will also retake Physics and Writing in December.

EC:
140 hrs community service
School soccer team member
Play nyatiti- a rare medieval kenyan instrumenr
President of Swahili Honor Society

Awards;
East African Maths Championships 4yrs
High School Peronality of the Year 2002
Physics Science Fair -Semi-conductor technology
Pascal Kenyan programmer of the year.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Rank 4 of 84
GPA 3.75 on a scale of 4.0

I come from the culturally rich Maasai community.
Can I get into these school if not through academics then through diversity?

Anyway, I think you have a great shot at all those schools considering the "diversity" you will bring. Seriously, with a 1420 you'll have a great chance at the IVIES.

One question i must ask what is you major?
from all i know Middlebury and CalTech are so far a apart they harldy have any majors in common...

If I'm admitted to caltech i'll probably major in Aerospace engineering but i'll have to settle for a physics major at the liberal arts and sciences colleges (eg middlebury).

Yeah ! they sent me a prospectus of the physics department. It's really top notch. Have you taken your SAT 2's? Which schools are u applying to?

Wow! Yours stats are pretty great but how do you compare with other students from your country? As far as I'm concerned i'm the only student in my country who I know scored above 1400 on the SAT1. Could that help?

guess so but i trully don't know
israel is a jewish country
and jews traditionally work with numbers so we start studying math earlier and almost all people here get 750-800 in the SAT
but since our languge is hebrew and not english
i know no one besides me that got over 600 in verbal(i studid for man y hundreds of hours to get my verbal scores)...

Were originally Arab but my parents were born in Uganda and we speak swahili. It's great to see someone from that region, especially one that is doing great like you.
Iam only a sophmore in H.S. but my dream school is YALE.

Ken, if you are Kenyan, you can probably get into any school you apply to. Admissions officers are looking for more African-American applicants to accept, and being Kenyan would be even more diverse. You are a diversity-obsessed admissions officer's dream.

FYI Ken: Kenya is the 8th most popular country of origin for international students at Middlebury. Last year there were 7 Kenyans enrolled.

Your academic scores alone make you competative at the schools you are applying for. You might want to add a safefy but I know nothing about the one you list.
