Again, a different friend wanted to get some opinions on this board. Here are his stats:
What are chances at M.I.T or Harvard?
Relatively large public school in suburban MA.
Valedictorian: Ranked 1/330
Takes hardest courseload possible
SAT: 1550, 790M, 760V
SAT II: 770, 780, 750
Math League: 4 Years (Captain senior year)
ACSU: Captain (this is a computer league)
Latin Club (3 summa cum laude on NLE)
Department Math award (2 times)
Java Award (1 time)
Computer Science Award (1 time)
Relatively little leadership positions and community service or any ECs for that matter.
What are some good match schools?

This person has great grades and test scores, though being a valedictorian is never a lock when it comes to the Ivies. That's especially true for people who do not hold any leadership positions or do many EC's.
Your friend has a shot at both Harvard and MIT, but would likely be deferred from EA.
