I really want to go to law school, but if I go to a private college I won't be able to afford law school. My question is, should I go to a private college and put off law school or go to a public school (probably Cal or UCLA) and try to go to law school after that? Thanx

You may change your mind about going to law school. Lots of people enter college with goals that change once they are in college. You also may find alternate ways of going to law school such as getting a job that helps pay your tuition to law school.


Thus, my opinion is that it would be best to select your undergrad institution based on what you would like best to do for the next 4 years.

Also do some research now into law school fellowship opportunities. It may be that if you do stellar work as an undegrad, you'd have a great chance of getting lots of merit aid for law school.
