Student from small private high school.
I'm involved in theater (almost twenty plays, a couple major roles), forensics, officer in student government and national honor society, member of key club.
Two AP's out of six offered at my school: AP US History (5) and AP English.
ACT Score 34, didn't take SAT 1 because it wasn't required. I'm taking my SAT II's in December.
Rank 11/130
Good essays and decent recs.
I was reading somewhere on this forum that Princeton accepted a lot of theater/arts people last year--will this affect my chances?

your test scores are very impressive--about average at those schools... your rank is a little lower than average but not bad... theatre always looks good... if you do well on sat 2 you should have a good shot if you don't take the essay lightly

If they say they won't count the ACT at lower importance than the SAT, are they telling the truth?

This person has absolutely no chance at Harvard (unless black), very little chance at Yale (unless black), and little chance at Princeton (unless black). If Asian, this person has no chance at any of these colleges.

I agree with t19, but this person could do it if Mexican or Native American as well.
