Club Soccer: I have been a member of competitive travel soccer teams since age 9. This is a year-round commitment that requires time, dedication, and a lot of hard work. My team twice reached the semi-finals of the NJ State Cup. I have also competed in tournaments throughout the country.

Sigma Alpha Rho, Beta Tau Chapter: For two years I served as the treasurer (Kappa Mu) for my chapter of 43 brothers. Currently, I am Vice President (Mu Rho) of my chapter. I am also a member of the Core Leadership Program. A select amount of brothers are in this group, which helps to run major fraternal events involving all of the chapters. The fraternity instills brotherhood, communication, community involvement, and leadership in its brothers. Each fraternal year my chapter is involved in the running of community service events, events between different chapters, and the running of meetings. Each week our chapter runs a meeting where all brothers discuss the chapter and its plans. Some of the events our chapter has run include: a formal dance, trip to the beach, paintball trip, basketball tournament, ice hockey game, and a Superbowl party. The last three years my chapter has received the prestigious Ross Abrahamson Memorial Award. The “Abbie” is given to the best chapter for the fraternal year.

Why weren't you in school today at 11:55 or did you have a break in that busy schedule?

You stand a great chance, you do need to up your SAT 2s for Penn though.

EC's are great...but academic portion raises some eyebrows. The key to overcoming a mediocre class rank is to show them that you know your stuff by doing well on SAT II and AP tests. Obviously that hasnt been the case. I still think you are a solid candidate, but SAT subject tests must improve, anything sub-700 is frowned upon by highly selective colleges.
