I don't know... i had to get your attention somehow...

Okay, here's the deal. I'm Indian... which is not a minority, which stinks because I feel very minor.... hehe okay that's besides the point. My dad's an NYU alumnus and i wanted to go to NYU very badly... but then i realized that this is simply not possible with my grades. Yes, that was a very sad day...
I have an unweighted 3.1 GPA... it's probably not much different weighted because i haven't taken any APs. I'm taking 6 or7 APs senior year (I know, pray for me) and my sat score was a 1430... 740 Math, 690 Verbal... I'm taking them again because honestly, if i break a 1500... i get a vehicle!
Okay... i took the SAT 2 writing and am still waiting for my scores on that thingamabobber... I am in a good number of clubs and things of the sort... i'm vice president of a silly little club called the International Cultural Club... (there's free food and free tutoring involved) I want to know if i have any chances of getting into Fordham University, Stonybrook, NYU (i know, i know... but a girl's gotta try, or Northeastern... If you like beans and you've managed to read through this terribly written autobiographical blurb.... please answer me with OPEN CANDOR (SAT word folks!)Any other suggested schools with the exception of community colleges will be greatly appreciated. HAHA, I love your personality. You just lifted my spirits. Okay, I've got some great news for you. This girl in my school, graduated as a junior for some odd reason. She was in no honors or ap classes. Had 13-- SAT, and a 3.0 GPA uw. Both her parents went to NYU and you know what, she got in!!!! The one problem is that you're Indian so it will be a little tougher, but as long as you get decent grades, you're in!!!! Now give me my beans! Do you think I'm kidding? OK, if you can write your essays with the same spirit you just wrote your three posts, you could probably get into Harvard! Seriously, you're GPA won't kill you, your SATs are good, and if you can make yourself appealing in the rest of the app (which seems very possible for you), you've def. got a shot of getting in.

I'd rather have a chinese fortune, but beans would be nice too....

In all honesty, I don't believe that your chances of getting into NYU are all that bad. Your test scores are certainly in the right range. You mentioned that you were in a bunch of clubs...do you hold any particular leadership positions in any of them? Have you won any awards? And is a 3.1 GPA considered low at your school? Do you know your rank? In any case, write a really rockin' essay and you have a decent chance.

My school doesn't rank anymore... so i do not know my rankage...Awards? Well, i was caller 104 once on power 105.1... and if i had been caller 105 i would have won concert tickets. That's about the only thing i've come even slightly close to winning... yea.. that doesn't help does it? hehe...
well, i play the flute.. i've been playing since 3rd grade... i'm in amnesty international, world hunger awareness club, chess club (i was bribed into being in it....involved pizza, glue guns, and black construction paper... long story) National art honor society, ICC... which i mentioned earlier... leadership positions are a negative... sorry to say... a 3.1 is kind of low at my school considering there's CUT THROAT competition... it's kind of sad really how far people will go for just one more A... man, stoop to my level for a bit... at least you get good hours of sleep. i don't know what BUMP means... but i've noticed that after one says it in their post, one gets many reactions... so... here goes
