Anyone know anything about Babson College in Massachusetts?

I have a 1280 SATs, about 3.6 GPA, editor of school paper, Sophmore year track, Junior/senior year Investment Club, Soph/Junior/Senior Computer Club, Intramural sports, Rec. Basketball (9-12), Rec. Baseball (9), Worked in a restaurant (9,10), and CVS Pharmacies (10,11). Take mostly honors/college prep classes.

How is the campus? I heard the social life is pretty awful there, but has anyone experienced otherwise? What's the workload like? And overall, is it an enjoyable experience?

According to the Fiske Guide the average SAT's are v530-610, math 590-680. However, they only take about 39% of the 3500 applicants they get every year - so your stats are within range but it'll still be competitive.

Fiske says: "Campus housing is great. The rooms are very comfortable and larger than those of other schools. For fun, many students head to Boston, which is just 14 miles away. A subway stop is just two miles from campus. Some students stick around campus for entertainment, with several mentioning campus parties as a guaranteed good time. The campus activities board brings lots of social programs to campus." 12 percent of students go Greek but most of the parties are hosted by Greeks - kind of a strict underage alcohol policy on campus however.

Hope this helps. One place that I've found has good first person reviews of different schools is to go to www.epinions.com and do a search on the school. Nearly every school has some reviews written about it, usually by current students.

I visited Babson...they have some neat things like the program that gives students money to start companies...and the curriculum is MAJORLY geared towards entrepreneurship (which is why they are ranked #1 by US NEWS)...so pursue if you are interested....I have a friend who got in who had stats a little inferior to yours, so you stand a good chance (tho its getting more and more difficult to get in every year supposedly)
