I just got a letter from princeton because of 'superior academic achievements' and the student search service. I am not asking a question about that, but when I was looking at the info that they sent me it had this weird thing with the SATs.
It said that they look at verbal and math separately and for example if you get a 790M/700V on one test and 700M/790V, they don't look at two 1490's, they look at a 1580.
Are any other colleges like this because it struck me very weird.

almost all colleges view the SAT that way
