Wondering what the chances were for acceptance at BOSTON COLLEGE, Emory, Washington University stl, orBoston University: for a girl living in Massachusetts, attending a public high school.
Sat:1340
Sat II : Bio (640) (have taken writing, math IIC, and us history - waiting on scores)
Class Rank: somewhere around 12/240
GPA: 3.6 ? (im guessing...unweighted)
Activities: Student Council REP, Captian of fall sports team, Peer Leader, 150+ hours volunteering at hospital, yearbook + prom committees, language club member
AP's taken : US History (+ 3 more senior year)
all other classes have been honors
except freshman year where none were offered (when attending a different high school)

You've got good chances at BU and Emory. BC will be a bit of a stretch and Washington U. in St. Louis will be a reach. WUSTL has become extremely competitive in admissions in the past few years. If it's at the top of your list, you might consider Early Decision.

well boston college is my top choice...wash u is second and bu is my 3rd choice

Same advice applies - if you are sure that BC is your top choice, consider applying ED. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much about applying RD if you can get terrific recommendations, really show up your EC's (BC likes those), and write a great essay. Your stats are within the BC ballpark so make sure you stand out in other areas. Good luck - BC is a great school.
