Hi, I’m a junior is HS and can you guys tell me what schools I should consider my reaches, moderates, and safeties for an engineering degree. I only want to apply to ten school though.
Academics
SAT I - 1520 (800M, 720V)
SAT II (not taken)- Chem. (expect between 750-800), IIC (same), Writing (same)
Top 1% of 450+ class (my school does not rank)
GPA - same for both semesters of each year - (5.0 junior year, 4.33 sophomore year, 4.0 freshman year) - 4.44 overall
-taken multiple classes at local colleges
-GSE (all high honors)
-took 4 AP tests (Chem, Eng lang., Computers, and Stat) - expect 4/5s
Volunteer/ Work experience
-Summer internship (2003) with a small biomedical engineering company - I will be working 4+ hours a day 5 days a week because the company is trying to get a product passed by the FDA, (I will work with the CEO/President)
-Worked at Country Club golf course (3 days a week - 4 hrs a day) for past 3 years.
-NHS, CSF
-Volunteered over 200 hrs at a hospital
EC
-I play a lot of golf (6-7 days a week, 2-3 hrs a day on average))
-Member of JGANC (junior golf assoc. of North. CA), Bridges, Royal Vista, FCWT (future collegiate world tour), and AJGA (American junior golf assoc)(clubs/organizations where I have played in over 50 golf tournaments) - won a few
-Play 1st seed on the country club golf team (over 20 match play tournaments w/ other CC's)
-Capitan of California champion JETS team (div. 7)- top 25 in nation
-NCS scholar athlete (frosh/JV football, JV volleyball)
I am not sure where I should apply to. Can you give me three reaches, four moderates, and 3 safeties? I want to do electrical or biomedical engineering in college. Thanks!

There are plenty of other schools out there. I've got similar interests as you, and unless I'm very wrong, you must be asian (no offense, but it's a typical asian profile). I guess for us the whole process is one grand crapshoot. Good luck.
