Hey, i was just wondering what would be the point requirements for me to get admission into McGil, for a undergrad business degree:
These are my grades right now:
Econs HL-7
Geo HL-6/7
Bio HL-6/7
Math Methods SL-6
English SL-6/7
Malay-5/6
+2 or 3 for TOK and extended essay. Right now i am guessing worst case scenario i will be predicted 38 in total. Is that good enough to get into McGil?
Also if it isn't too much trouble, what are my chances of getting into these american Uni's:
-UChicago--> My bro's already their
-UTAustin
-Boston U
-U Michigan
I haven't done my SAT's yet but i am aiming for around 1430++......Anyone who can give me some assistance would be really appreciated...

you don't NEED SAT scores for McGill. i'm under the very strong impression that as long as you have the marks and some sort of extracurricular activity, you're definitely in...like I would think that 90%+ average would be a "for sure" acceptance (at least that's the case for canadians)...it just depends how much $$ they offer you...
and IB...are you going to skip 1st year courses?

Well, i know they don't require SAT's but it helps with the evaluating process....im only gonna send them if they're good......
Considering my grades, they are decent and i have the following EC's: Senior Rugby, Senior swimming, social service, guitar ensemble, and several other recreational activities
Considering i'm doing IB i am allowed to skip first year courses entirely due to the depth of the IB curriculum.......

Well, from what i heard, AMERICANS need to submit their SAT score. So unless you're american, don't send in your SAT scores. If you're Canadian, and you send in your SAT scores they'll just think you're purposely trying to waste their time.

SAT scores from a Canadian don't hurt...I'm Canadian and sent mine and was accepted. Tuannguyen is right though, they're unnecessary. IB's help you and you can receive advanced placement, but again, not required

Sorry to seem didactic its just that i need some serious help to know which unis i could get into...

If you're american, it will help A LOT to have IB or AP because the quality of the american HS educational system, in general, fluctuates so much a 4.0 in a regular or honors course could've required very little effort.
It's DEFINITELY harder to get into any Canadian university if you don't have some form of proof hat you're up to standards AP or IB). The Alberta curriculum is actually very similar to AP, and AP itself isn't very respected where i come from since it's exactly the same as the regular program! That's the Canadian standard. IB seems harder where i come from because you have to cover the Canadian stuff and the IB stuff, so i'm definitely up to standard.
Americans trust their own curriculum, but other nations always have suspcisions.
If you're Canadian, IB or AP doesn't really help much unless you want to skip a year. The marks are the main thing.
